We loved seeing so many of our donors and sponsors at our Annual Sponsor Celebration on May 27, 2026. It was a wonderful gathering of supporters enjoying good food, music and company.
Each year, Partners for Parks hosts this gathering at a Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation facility. This year’s event was held at Cordelia Park Indoor Pavilion with beautiful views of Uptown Charlotte.
Entertainment was provided by local musician Josh Daniel and catering by Savory Moments. Partners for Parks President Beth Poovey and Executive Director Lauren Sawyers gave remarks, followed by a toast by Treasurer Al Brown.
“Trust for Public Land published a report last week finding that every $1 spent on parks had a ROI of $3,” said Lauren. “But it’s not just about dollars. It’s about equity, access, and amenities. There are so many more opportunities for investments and that’s why we do what we do — to supplement the
good work that our park and recreation departments are doing.”
Thank you to all of our supporters. YOU make Partners for Parks’ work possible!
